Wedding Hanger! Sew Happy Together Card!

Sorry Life has been crazy. Im adjusting to a new job every year.
I've been crafting but haven't' been sharing.
Got a Nexus 5 now so hopefully it will make it easier to post.

I've been told I'm a natural with wire but larger gauge wire can be so tricky at times and somewhat more painful to bend. I've seen so many lovely wedding hangers on Etsy and Pinterest that I decided to make one for my friend's up coming Wedding. Sorry I sent it late but its coming in the mail!

The wire part was straight forward. I had more trouble looking for nice quality hangers, drilling holes and securing the wire to the hanger than anything. This is where my significant other would have come in  handy...but since he's not in town. I just went through the tools and made it work!

I think that Mrs. By itself is also so elegant! Maybe for my own wedding one day :D
I'm also quite happy with this card I made...love the stamp!

Let me know what you think. thanks for sticking by!

First time Felting = Totoros and Mario Mushrooms

This is an updated about my recent felt creations.
I tried first at making the Totoro then Mario Mushrooms

I managed to get two needle stick injuries during this process... (at least it wasn't at work hehe)
This may be mostly due my frugal nature in trying to conserve the felting wool and also to make smaller cuter figures.

However I have realized that making small ones are actually more difficult to make and may take just as much time if not more. This is because I cannot use a bundle of needles, instead I had to use a single needle and literally jab it into the wool a million times for it to contract and compact itself into such shapes.

Mind you despite all that this felting animals was an amazingly fun project.
However given my allergy to wool I have to leave this craft alone for a while.

Love Day/ Valentine Card Series - Forest love

Happy 14 days to Valentines day.

Here are the second set of cards for Valentine's day of Forest animals and cute sentiments.
Again I embraced the simple but classy look.

These are one dimension cards made by layering many stamped images.
I've never made one dimension cards cuz pop-up and moving parts is so my thing but I like a good challenge.
Masking is a helpful technique for the nuts for you squirrel but I tried a fade from light to dark colors.

Have you figured out I love cute animals yet :D.

You're a dear!

Love Day/ Valentine Card Series- Sweet Balloons

The cards in this series can be for any loving occasion like anniversaries not just Valentine's day.
I think they are really "just because" I love you cards :D.

I've been waiting to use this stamp set that I bought a while ago but never had a chance to use.
These cute critters seemed perfect for these simple but classy cards.

This stamp set is by Inkainkado and is a cute must have for any stamp collection.
I'm not sure if they even sell this stamp set anymore as I couldn't find it on their website.

I'll have to find the name for my next post if any of you are interested.

My fav card is the playfully threatening birdies but the last card with the mother duck and ducklings can certainly be a card for Mom / Mother's day.

These cards are all dimensional and so versatile, what not to love?

Christmas Owl & Christmas Tree Cupcakes

I made red velvet cupcakes with matcha green tea cream cheese frosting.
A mouthful I know, but its the best!

Maybe Christmas cupcakes are a bit early still but I might not be in town for Christmas!

The frosting so so yummy, Don't ask me how I know...I didn't steal any of course *shifty eyes* :)

One side has the owl and the other is a Christmas tree as the green matcha is so suiting for a tree.

Royal Icing Christmas Owls

I've recently watched season one to four of Cake Boss on Netflix, which made me really itch to do some decorating. However, life would be much easier if I have a crew that did all the baking for me and all I had to do was decorate. Plus I need people to eat them afterwards.

I know making a cake taste good is just as important as making it look good but with my current oven baking just isn't simple. I don't have duel heat. Its either Top or Bottom... So things are always cooked unevenly. Anyone else have this problems. (please leave tips in comment section)

I love all pretty things and cute things and same goes for cakes.
I recently started looking into piping and cookie decorating as well.
Really amazed at how Sweetopia can pipe so steady.
I need to start learning.

So I whipped up a batch of Royal Icing and started piping...

Decorating is fun...just the cleaning is not.
and you have to make different colors and use different tips and make different icing consistency.
I got lazy and left mine on the counter overnight after making the eyes first...

and of course the icing got a bit stiff...but I banged the pan on the table and it smoothed some of it out. but you can still see that the red did not want to settle.

Here's what I made today.

I think I'm gona put these on somecupcakes!
Who wants one?

2012 Christmas Card Series: Rolling Cute Penguin Card

I've been making Christmas cards for the last week and this is
my first design for my Christmas series this year.

I am really in love with the rolling card idea from my cute sweet pea card and so made a few designs with the same card mechanism.
This is the first one but more to come so stay tuned.

This is made from a super cute penguin stamp cutout that I colored and shaded each by hand.
I cannot decide on the best sentiment for the cards but each one looks different and seems to work well.
Maybe its just me, but card making sometimes take me an hour plus for each card.
So this was a days work :D.

Ghostly Halloween Card

I'm not much of a Halloween celebrating gal because I don't even like watching scary movies.
I'm too frighten that i'll get nightmares.

But I did watch Chucky at the age of 7 because my dad was watching tv and I wanted to hang out with him....little did I know I'll be watching a movie about an evil doll...and I could have left halfway but I couldn't because I wanted to know how to destroy the doll at the end.
After that movie I threw my cabbage patch kid into the toy room and pushed a chair against the door.
From then on, I've not enjoyed scary movies :D

However, Halloween is coming up and I decided I should make a card this year as I've bought some supplies and stamps from the last two years.
Here is my first ever Halloween card.

Those graves were hard to layer, but I do love the vellum Ghosts

Completed R2D2 Android Figure

[Update]
Apparently someone already thought an android R2D2 as part of an ad for the DIY figures I think.

That one is cute and has personality.
But I think mine is more realistic :D

Android A Real Droid

I thought mini Android figures were super cute.
And ever since I got my first android phone I've never gone back.
I'm an Android girl...not into the Apple Fad.

I really wanted an android figure that was not mass produced.
So I got a plain white android figure and started working.

Happy Birthday Stamp Series - Frog

New Cards! Finally !

I love making Birthday cards because they always come in handy.
I used the frogs I made from the "create a critter" cartridge.

They were a bit of a pain to make because they were so small and left bits of fluff all over my cutting mat, but they look cuter when they are tiny. Don't you agree?

I'm am currently really in love with this new Happy Birthday Stamp
and decided to make a series of cards with that sentiment.
I just love how it works with cute card designs and I can color the hearts any color.

 Which one looks better?
I will be making more cards with that Birthday Stamp very soon!
